WICHITA FALL, TX — The Warriors are pleased to announce that the team has acquired 2000-born defenseman Brennan Couet and the 37th overall pick in the Supplemental Draft in a trade with the Minot Minotauros.
With three years of NAHL experience under his belt, Couet will be a welcome addition to a relatively young roster. The right-handed defenseman has played a year with the Minnesota Wilderness and has spent the past two seasons in Minot. In the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season, Couet put up a goal and 12 assists with a +11 rating.
“Brennan is a player I am very familiar with from playing against the past three years,” Head Coach Garrett Roth said. “He is hard-nosed, gritty, and plays with an edge. He is a player you know what you are getting from on a nightly basis. We are really excited to add Brennan and what he can bring to us at even strength and on special teams.”
Fans can catch Couet at games this fall in the Warriors’ inaugural season. Season tickets are currently on sale here.
