Warriors Add 11 Players in Entry Draft

WICHITA FALLS, TX – The Warriors are pleased to announce that the team has selected 11 players (eight forwards, three defensemen) in the 2020 NAHL Entry Draft. 

Thomas Weis, 1st overall:  The 5-foot-7, 158-pound center from Verona, Wisconsin played for the Madison Capitals of the USHL during the 2019-20 season.  Prior to the USHL, he recorded 40 goals and 71 points in 23 games for Madison Edgewood Prep in 2019-20.  

William Lawson-Body, 37th overall:  The 5-foot-9, 160-pound forward from Grand Forks, North Dakota scored 21 goals and added 28 assists for a total of 49 points for Grand Forks Central High during the 2019-20 campaign.  In just 15 games for Team Great Plains in 2019-20 he recorded 8 assists.

Deven Boldway, 55th overall:  The 6-foot, 180-pound defenseman from Napa, California had a total of 73 points in two seasons with the San Jose Jr. Sharks from 2018-20.  He raised his assist totals by eight from 22 to 30 in just one season.

Nicholas Johnson, 82nd overall:  The 6-foot-1, 165-pound defenseman from Sun Prairie Wisconsin scored 13 goals to go along with 19 assists for a total of 32 points in 24 games for Sun Prairie.

Cooper Fensterstock, 97th overall:  The 5-foot-9, 170-pound right winger from Matthews, North Carolina played in 39 games in the NAHL with the Amarillo Bulls in 2018-19.  With the Bulls he recorded 27 assists and 35 points.  He spent the 2019-20 season with the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL where he had 8 points in 17 games.

Keigo Hachisuka, 109th overall:  The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defenseman from San Diego, California scored 10 goals and recorded 34 points for Shawnigan Lake School Prep during the 2018-19 season.

Logan Gallaher, 136th overall:  The 6-foot, 190-pound left winger from Corona, California scored 18 goals to go along with 8 assists for 27 points during his time with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks in 2019-20.

Dominick Rivelli, 163rd overall:  The 5-foot-8, 162-pound center from Highland Park, Illinois played in two games for the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL last season in 2019-20.  In his 15 games with Chicago Mission 16U in 2019-20 he scored 9 goals and added 8 assists.  The right handed forward is committed to play Division I hockey at Miami University (OH) in 2022.

Austin Schmidt, 190th overall:  The 2001 born forward from Fargo, North Dakota scored 17 goals to go along with 15 assists in 27 games for Fargo Davies High.

James Spaargaren, 217th overall:  The 5-foot-10, 151-pound forward from San Diego, California recorded 34 total points in 54 games with the New Ulm Steel of the NA3HL from 2018-20.

Shafaat Hashim, 244th overall:  The 5-foot-10, 150-pound forward from Oslo, Norway scored 22 goals to go along with 27 assists for a total of 49 points in 37 games with Manglerud U21 in 2019-20.
