Warriors Select Three Forwards in Supplemental Draft

WICHITA FALLS, TX — The Warriors are pleased to announce that the team has selected three 2001-born forwards in the 2020 NAHL Supplemental Draft.

Ryan Robinson, 1st overall: The 6-foot, 185-pound left wing is an alum of the Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club, the only T1EHL program in Texas. He played for Warriors Head Coach Garrett Roth previously in Bismarck for half of the 2018-19 before spending last year with the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL. The left-handed skater is committed to play Division I hockey at Arizona State University following his junior career.

Keighan Gerrie, 37th overall: Gerrie is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound centre from Thunder Bay, Ontario. He spent the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season with the Waterloo Black Hawks in the USHL. Prior to playing for the Black Hawks, Gerrie tore up the SIJHL with 153 points in 107 games.

Drew Vieten, 54th overall: At 6-foot, 185 pounds, Vieten adds more size and skill to Wichita Falls. A California native who came up through the Los Angeles Jr. Kings organization, Vieten spent last season in the BCHL with the West Kelowna Warriors. His twin brother David was also selected in the Supplemental Draft by the Kenai River Brown Bears.

With the Supplemental Draft finished, the Warriors will now be looking to the NAHL Entry Draft on July 21, 2020. For players who wish to play for Wichita Falls, the revised date for Pre-Draft Camp has been announced. Players can register for camp here.
