WICHITA FALLS, TX- The Wichita Falls Warriors have traded for and acquired Minot defenseman Owen Baumgartner and Bismarck forward Hunter Jones.
Baumgartner, a 2002, 5-9, 165 pound defenseman from Owatonna, MN spent the beginning of the 2020-21 season with the Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League. During the 2019-20 season with Minot he recorded 14 assists and a total of 18 points in 27 games played. Baumgartner will help add to a Warriors defense whose goals against is third in the South Division with 30 GA.
Jones, a 2002, 5-10, 181 pound forward from Andover, MN spent the beginning of the 2020-21 season with the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL. During the 2019-20 season with the Andover Huskies “A” he recorded 34 goals and a total of 45 points in 25 games played. Jones joins a Warriors offense that has scored 24 goals in 9 games played this season.
