WICHITA FALLS, TX- The Wichita Falls Warriors (2-3-0-2) fall by a final score of 2-1 in a close finish with the Lone Star Brahmas (6-1-0-0) on Friday night at the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
The Warriors got on the scoreboard first 17:03 into the first period as William Lawson-Body (1) drove to the net and put the puck on net where Dominick Rivelli was waiting to bury the rebound for his first career NAHL goal. The Warriors would take the 1-0 lead into the second period.
In the second frame, the Brahmas would score two goals, the first to tie the game 1-1 just 1:10 into the period, and the second 17:53 into the period to take a 2-1 lead heading to the third period.
It was a back and forth third period with chances from both sides. The Warriors would take two penalties late and that would halt the Warriors offensive attack to try to tie up the game. With the net empty in the final minute of the game, the Warriors searched for the tying goal but the Brahmas were able to hold defensively.
Graham Burke (6-1-0-0) got the win in net for Lone Star, he had 26 saves. Ryan Ullan (1-2-0-1) got the loss in net for Wichita Falls, he had 14 saves.
Next up, the Warriors look to even up the weekend series with the Brahmas back in the Kay Yeager Coliseum on Saturday, November 21. Puck drop is set for 7:05 PM.
