Wichita Falls, TX- The Wichita Falls Warriors are pleased to announce the hiring of former Warriors player and Captain Brennan Couet as the new Assistant Coach.
“It’s an exciting day for the Warriors as we have the opportunity to add Brennan to our coaching staff. He brings the culture mentality and work ethic that this organization has been built on”, said Roth.
Couet in his junior hockey career played 176 games where he played on five different teams. The Minnesota Native has always had an interest in coaching which is why this year while injured he had seen some time the bench.
“I’m very excited to get started this season with such a great organization”, said Couet.
“As a player his leadership and commitment to the team was a huge part of creating our culture which was the foundation for our team success. Brennan has a bright future as an up and coming coach with his attention to detail, integrity and character that shows he is a natural leader. I am excited for him to continue being an integral part of our team moving forward”, said Roth.
At just twenty one years of age Couet starts his coaching career. “I’m thrilled to have this opportunity at such a young age. I’ve been wanting to get into coaching for a long time and couldn’t think of a better place to start my career”, said Couet.
“I’m honored to get the opportunity to work alongside Garrett. He was a great coach during my playing days and couldn’t think of a better person to work with”, said Couet.
