Warriors Score Four in the Second, Top Brahmas 5-2.

WICHITA FALLS, TX- The Wichita Falls Warriors (3-3-0-2) evened up the weekend series with a 5-2 win over the Lone Star Brahmas (6-2-0-0) on Saturday night.

It took until the second period to start the scoring in this contest.  The Brahmas took an early 1-0 lead 4:56 into the period.  Then the Warriors tied it up on a goal from Drew Vieten (3) 10:11 into the period.  The Brahmas would retake the lead 2-1 on a goal 11:57 in.  The Warriors would then tie the game again on the power play thanks to Adisen Brueck (3).  After the power play goal, the Warriors would score two more goals courtesy of Nick Lanigan (3) and Alex Walker (1) to put the Warriors up 4-2 to end the second period.  For Walker, it was his first career NAHL goal.

In the third period, the Warriors would tighten up defensively and rely on the great play of goaltender Owen Bartoszkiewicz who came up with some key saves, including two without his stick to keep the lead at two goals.  Thomas Weis (5) would put the cherry on top with an empty netter and seal a 5-2 win for the Warriors, snapping the Brahmas six game winning streak.

Owen Bartoszkiewicz (2-1-0-1) got the win, he had 27 saves in the win.  Graham Burke (6-2-0-0) got the loss, he had 13 saves in the loss.

Next up, the Warriors hit the road for the first time this season as these two South Division foes meet again for the third straight time on Wednesday, November 25 at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas.
