WICHITA FALLS, TX – The Wichita Falls Warriors are pleased to announce the tender of 2003 forward Garrett Schifsky.
The 5 foot 9, 150 pound center from Andover, Minnesota will look to join the Warriors next season and play in his first season in the North American Hockey League. During the 2019-20 season with the Andover Huskies, Schifsky recorded 27 points in 23 games played with 19 goals and 8 assists. The center is an all around play maker that has a way of finding the back of the net. “I play fast and like to make plays, but also I will bring my ability to score.” Schifsky explained. Currently this season at Andover High, the forward has recorded 14 points in just 4 games played with 5 goals and 9 assists. “My time in Andover has been a great experience. I love it here! The coaches are great and my best friends are here.” Although his time at Andover has been great, Schifsky is excited to join the Warriors in Wichita Falls. “I can’t wait to start playing for the Warriors. I’m excited to start as soon as I can!”
Schifsky is not the only one excited about the tender signing. Warriors Head Coach Garrett Roth is looking forward to bringing in the talented 2003 forward, “Garret has been a player that I have followed for a couple of years now.” said Roth. “He plays hard with a high compete level and he will be a great fit with our style of play. He has proven he can produce and be a difference maker in big games, which is something we value.” In the Minnesota High School playoffs last season with Andover, Schifsky scored 3 goals and added 8 assists in just six games played. “He is a great addition to our organization and another high character player that we can add to our locker room.”
Garrett Schifsky joins Garrett Horsager as early tenders for the upcoming 2021-22 season for the Wichita Falls Warriors, who are currently in their inaugural season in the South Division of the NAHL.
